FAQ's

What is a reformer?

The Reformer is a machine that uses springs, a moving carriage, straps, and a footbar to create resistance and support. This combination allows you to move with control, precision, and alignment while working your entire body through a wide range of exercises.

Introduction to Reformer Pilates (13 min video)

Do you have any classes led by a teacher in the room?

Yes, there are weekly options to join classes with the Prana Reformer Teachers. A Reformer Pilates class = 2 credits

Ive never done Reformer Pilates before, where do I start?

For your first visit, join a ‘staffed’ appointment, so our team can help you get started with your own reformer, wireless headphones and classes that meet you where you are, from absolute beginner to experienced and advanced.

Options include bringing your own headphones, creating an account to join challenges, and tracking your progress.

What should I bring?

Bring a pair of grip socks; regular cotton socks are ok as a temporary measure, they will soon be available to purchase from the ‘products’ button in the House of Prana App.

Bring a water bottle; we have a Zazen Water filter you can top up with.

Wear athletic clothing (nothing baggy) that you can move in.

If you have long hair, tie it up and out of the way. You can find hair ties in the changerooms.

Lockers are available in the change rooms, and shelves are provided in the reformer room.

Yoga mats are not required for reformer pilates.

When can I join a non-staffed Self-Reformer class

Right from your second class. After your orientation with our team. We’ve created a studio using technology that empowers members to join classes autonomously. If you need to reach out to us, we will be available.

I am pregnant, can I attend classes?

Pregnancy classes are available on demand. Join Self-Reformer staffed classes.
